Safety Policy

The Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic.) places a duty of care on employers to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all team members. This Act also places a duty of care on team members to take care of the health and safety of themselves and others so far as is reasonably practicable.

SteadyCare Australia will ensure that it provides:

  • A workplace that is safe to work in, with working procedures that are safe to use
  • Adequate information, training, instruction and supervision
  • Properly maintained facilities, vehicles and equipment
  • Personal protective equipment as appropriate to the task and work environment
  • Systematic processes for hazard identification and control measure implementation

Some of the standards that SteadyCare Australia adopts to ensure the health and safety of all team members includes, but is not limited to:

  • Maintenance of a safe, clean and efficient working environment
  • Provision of well maintained and serviced vehicles
  • Identification and control of workplace hazards and near-misses
  • Assurance of client safety at all times
